Good Faith Estimate
Your right to know the cost of care, up front.
Just as we tell you from day one what "done" looks like for your child's therapy, we believe you deserve to know what care will cost before it begins. Clear goals, honest timelines, no surprises — including on the bill.
Effective Date: June 23, 2026 Last Updated: June 23, 2026
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
Under the federal No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of your child's care.
Because Growing Gains Therapy is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance, this right applies to every family we serve. If you don't have health insurance, or you plan to pay for services yourself rather than through a plan, we will provide a written estimate of your expected charges.
A Good Faith Estimate is not a bill. It's an honest projection — based on what we know at the time — of what a defined course of care is likely to cost.
What an Estimate Can Cover
You can request a Good Faith Estimate for services such as:
- Evaluations and assessments
- Therapy sessions (occupational, physical, or speech)
- Recommended programs and any related services we expect your child to receive as part of their care
Because we work in focused, time-limited Episodes of Care with defined goals and a real endpoint, we can give you a meaningful picture of the full scope of a program — not just a single visit.
When You'll Receive It
Once your child's care is scheduled, you'll receive a Good Faith Estimate:
- No later than 1 business day after scheduling, if the service is scheduled at least 3 business days in advance, or
- No later than 3 business days after you schedule or ask for an estimate, if the service is scheduled — or the estimate is requested — at least 10 business days in advance.
You can also request an estimate any time, before scheduling anything. We're glad to walk you through it by phone or in person and follow up in writing.
A Note on Insurance and Superbills
We are an out-of-network, private-pay practice and do not participate in any insurance plans, Medicaid, or Medicare. We provide detailed superbills so families can seek out-of-network reimbursement directly from their plan. Any reimbursement is determined solely by your insurer, and we can't guarantee coverage or payment. Your Good Faith Estimate reflects our charges to you, not what your plan may later reimburse.
If Your Bill Is Higher Than Your Estimate
Keep your Good Faith Estimate somewhere safe so you can compare it to your bills. If you're ever billed $400 or more above your Good Faith Estimate for a given provider, you may have the right to dispute the charges.
